My Thoughts

I absolutely loved Marrying Winterborne. Cold Hearted Rake was disappointing for me except for the subplot of Helen and Rhys so I was really excited for this book. It’s not the typical plot for historical romance where the hero of the book chases after the heroine. In this book, their relationship seems stable and the story is about their struggle to move past the obstacles they are facing.

Another thing I find remarkable are the main characters. At first, Rhys seems like an intimidating man who is selfish and is super ambitious. Well, he is that but there’s more to him than that. Rhys is actually a very protective and sensitive man. His devotion to Helen was something that made me swoon. I wish that there’s a real life Rhys Winterborne. Helen, on the other hand, is a much gentler and softer character. But there’s more to her as well. I have great admiration about Helen’s strength and kindness. By the end of the book, she has become my favorite historical romance heroine.

The best part of this book is that I enjoyed every page. No page was boring. I’ve held on to every moment, it seems like there are very few filler moments. This book is indeed written very well.

Overall, I really loved this book. This is one of my favorite historical romance books! I recommend this book to Historical Romance fans. If you are new in the genre, read this book and you’ll be addicted to the genre soon enough!
