Monthly Wrap-Up

Monthly Wrap Up- August 2018

Wow! August came by so fast that  I hardly noticed and now it’s ending. A lot of things happened to me this month. Classes are back, I’m on Third Year Medical School now. Even if it’s only been a  month, it’s been very tiring and it’s taking up almost all my energy. And the worst thing is I don’t get to see my dog often since I live in a city instead of our home during weekdays. I only get to see my dog on the weekends and I’m missing her everyday! Also, it’s hard to imagine that next year I will be on clerkship and will be working on the hospital. It’s really hard to leave academics behind. This, however, leads to a lot of reflecting and I hate it because some feelings I would rather be buried are bubbling up. Anyways, in terms of this blog, here’s what I’ve been up to this month:

What I’ve Read This August

Wilder by Lena North

This book had great potential that it was not able to achieve. The concept is good but it was not delivered well. Read my review.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

I really think that Mackenzi Lee did an awesome job. The characters are all very interesting and 3-dimensional and they really made this book enjoyable. Read my review.

The Line Between by Tosca Lee

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley. For me, this book is really intriguing from start to end. This is how thrillers should be. Expected publication date is on January 29, 2018 and I think everyone should read this book. Read my review.

Hello Stranger (The Ravenels #4) by Lisa Kleypas

This book was dull for me like other books in The Ravenels Series. Review coming soon.

Currently Reading

I am currently listening on Sea Witch in Audible and I’m reading After Effects in Kindle. I’m reading After Effects for an all-review blog tour I’m participating on this October. So far, Sea Witch is bewitching and there’s something about it that’s keeping me curious. After Effects, on the other hand, is making me giggle and smile… all that butterflies in my stomach stuff. The interactions between the characters are all so cute and I’m starting to love the relationship between the main characters.
