In terms of blogging and reading books, September has been quite uneventful for me. I’ve only read a couple of books and I’ve only posted two book reviews. I’ve just become so busy with medical school that I have so little free time to read. Right now, I usually read a book while waiting for the elevator or I’m in the bus but I really didn’t have time to sit in a corner and just read. I really miss it. Still, I have so much love for reading. I just hope someday I will have more free time for myself to read. I have feeling that’s not anywhere the near future though. Med school’s becoming tougher and tougher every day and it’s getting more overwhelming. Anyways, here’s what I’ve read this September:
What I’ve Read This September
After Effects by L.J. Greene
This book is about Kier and Selene who met through an accident in San Francisco who just kind of clicked. They soon realize that they have a connection that is undeniable. Sadly, Kier’s life is in Seattle and he’s coming back soon. What’s the point of starting a relationship when it will eventually end, right? Anyways, this book shows the realities of a relationship. This book has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. My emotions are all over the place when I was reading this book. I really highly recommend this book. Review coming soon.
Fromage a Trois by Victoria Brownlee
I got a copy of this book through Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinions. Ella, the main character, just broke up with the man she thought she’s going to marry. Uncertain on what she must do with her life, Ella decides to move to Paris for a year. There, her life is very different from the stability she has in Australia. Read my review.

What I Watched This September
For me, Bojack Horseman is one of the best series ever made. It just shows so much realness that I have never seen before. Bojack is not a good person and I love how we see his toxicity and at the same time we also see his vulnerability. It makes us reflect on ourselves. I don’t think Bojack Horseman glorifies toxicity though. I think it aims to slap in our faces. It tells us “This is what you shouldn’t be”. As someone who experiences existential crisis from time to time, I really relate with Bojack. This show makes me want to be better.
The Crown is also one of the best. Claire Foy and Matt Smith’s performance are remarkable. Watching the story of Queen Elizabeth II really fascinated me. I became really interested with the British monarchy after watching.
How to Get Away with Murder Season 4
I was only able to finish the second half of Season 4 this month. I was actually quite disappointed. I was really expecting the class action to be the focus but it was only highlighted in one episode. It was really interesting for me and I really wanted to see more. Anyways, I love that episode so much. I actually cried. Viola Davis is one great actress.
So… this is what I was up to this September. It ended so fast for me though. I was actually quite surprised.. time really do fly. I hope you had a fun and productive September and may October be the same!
