Hello everyone! I decided to start Top 5 Wednesday once again. I stopped months ago because I was too stressed with med school and I couldn’t find the time to write Top 5 Wednesday post. Now, I’m still stressed with med school but I’m going to do this as a form of a break in between studying… just to relax my mind for a bit.
Anyways, it’s that time of the year again when Christmas is near and wish lists come out. I like receiving presents especially when I can see that a person took an effort to buy something that I would want. So… here’s my top 5 book (and bookish stuff) wish list.
1. A copy of On The Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
Of course, first on the list is my favorite book. Yes, I don’t own a hard copy of my favorite book. That’s because I just discovered this book in goodreads and decided to download an ebook version and just try it. Little did I know that it will become my favorite book.
I’ve search for years whenever I go to local bookstores here in the Philippines but this book is just hard to find. Maybe I can find this or maybe someone loves me enough to give me this as a present.
I’ve had my eye on this for a while but it’s actually too expensive for my budget. I’ve seen pictures and I really think it’s beautiful.
Litographs offer products wherein the design are words from a book. It’s just so awesome! Products include t-shirts, tote bags, posters, scarves and more. Here’s an example of their product:
Amazing, right? I really want it! Want it too? You can buy their products through their website.
4. An Audible Membership
You can actually give your friend an audible membership as a gift. I would be delighted if someone would give me even a month of audible membership. Here’s to know how.
I really enjoyed my free trial with Audible. I think it’s really useful since I travel every weekend. Listening to a book was one of the best ways to pass time for me. I bought Sea Witch and The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue for my free trial and it’s been a great experience. I’m not yet done with Sea Witch though but the story is so far, compelling. If you haven’t tried Audible yet, I really recommend to try the 30-day free trial. You’ll get two free audiobooks with it. Click here to try Audible.
5. A copy of your favorite book
I think it’s one great gift that I can receive. I think a person’s favorite book really says a lot about that person. By reading someone’s favorite book, I feel like I’m getting to know him/her better. And just the fact that it was given as a gift says that person is opening up to you. It’s one of the greatest intimacy for me.
