Why my birthday makes me wanna cry

I recently celebrated my 23rd birthday. My birthday was something I always looked forward to. Ever since I was younger, my family would always make an effort to make every birthday special to me. My birthday was my favorite day of the year until I was in college. While I was in college, I met…

Book Review: The Devil in Spring (The Ravenels #3) by Lisa Kleypas

Upon reading the prologue of the book from the end of Marrying Winterborne, I was excited to read Devil in Spring because this book features Evie and Sebastian from Devil in Winter. Devil in Winter was one of my earliest read that is in the Historical Romance genre. It was back when I was still exploring on the genre and Devil in Winter is one of the reasons why I fell in love with Historical Romance. Because of Sebastian and Evie and because I loved Marrying Winterborne, I have high expectations about this book. Unfortunately, this book did not live up to it.

Book Review: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I regret that I haven’t read this book as a child. I believe that a child and an adult would have different interpretations of this book. I believe that for a child, this book will be all about magic and adventure. An adult, on the other hand, would not be able to help himself/herself but interpret and analyze the book as the book is full of allegory and metaphor. This duality of this book might actually be a part of its charm- The Little Prince can appeal to both an adult and child.

Book Review: Marrying Winterborne (The Ravenels #2) by Lisa Kleypas

I absolutely loved Marrying Winterborne. Cold Hearted Rake was disappointing for me except for the subplot of Helen and Rhys so I was really excited for this book. It’s not the typical plot for historical romance where the hero of the book chases after the heroine. In this book, their relationship seems stable and the story is about their struggle to move past the obstacles they are facing.
