Hey guys! I hope your week is going well! It’s Wednesday, the weekdays are halfway done and it’s time for another Top 5 Wednesday post. Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam  (Thoughts on Tomes).

This week’s topic is our Top 5 Nostalgic ships. I really liked this topic because I can totally relate it. With the books that I read on my early to late teens, I’ve really rooted to some pairings. I would fight with other people who didn’t believe in my ship… I would list things that would support my arguments. Anyways, here are my Top 5 Nostalgic Ships…

1. Percy and Annabeth from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series

Well, the first pairing I shipped real hard! I read the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series on my early teens. As I read each book in the series, I shipped them more and more. I liked that they were good friends and develop into something more as they grow older. After the series ended, I was still so into them that I read tons of fanfiction. I didn’t read the next series though because I felt like the PJO ending was too good.

2. Clary and Jace from the Mortal Instruments Series

“There is no pretending,” Jace said with absolute clarity. “I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I’ll love you then.”

Can you believe that quote? I got really blown away by that quote when I was younger. That’s why I really read every Mortal Instruments book.

3. Tessa and Jem from the Infernal Devices Series

I liked Clary and Jace but it is nothing compared to how I love Tessa and Jem together. Well, I just really love Jem so I wanted him to get the girl. Cassandra Clare, however, had something else in mind (spoilers ahead!) Instead of the endgame being Jem or Will, Cassandra Clare decided that she can have both. That is why I had extra motivation to read the last few books of the Mortal Instrument series.

4. Four and Six from the Lorien Legacies Series

This one is a disappointment for me. I really liked the chemistry between them in the first two books and I held on to that until the very end. Like the other series above, I read book after book just to follow what happens in their relationship.

5. Katniss and Peeta

Ohhhhh this two! I didn’t just ship book Katniss and book Peeta but also in the film adaptation. I really liked that they are not perfect for each other unlike other book couples. They are different from each other but in the end… Peeta is who Katniss needs.

So… that’s my Top 5 Nostalgic ships. How about you? Share the pairings you shipped through the comments below!
